Voice billing guide

AI voice billing in Hindi, English and Hinglish

Say the customer and items naturally, let Retailer360 prepare the invoice draft, then check the result before saving and sharing it.

What voice billing actually does

Voice billing reduces the typing needed to start a sale. In Retailer360, you can speak naturally in Hindi, English or Hinglish. The service transcribes the audio and uses AI to identify the customer, product names, quantities and other bill details from your words.

The result is an invoice draft, not a final decision. You can edit the customer, match catalogue items, correct quantities or prices and review tax values before issuing the invoice. This review step matters whenever speech is unclear, the shop is noisy or two catalogue products have similar names.

Example: You could say “Rahul ke liye do kilo aata aur ek Amul butter.” Retailer360 uses that speech to prepare structured bill lines for review.

From speech to an invoice

  1. Open Voice Bill. Allow microphone access when the feature asks for it.
  2. Describe the sale. Speak at a normal pace and include the customer, items and quantities you know.
  3. Review the transcript. Check that names and numbers were heard correctly.
  4. Confirm product matches. Make sure each spoken item maps to the right catalogue product and unit.
  5. Check the invoice. Review prices, discounts, GST fields and payment mode before saving.
  6. Share the PDF. Send the completed invoice on WhatsApp or use the optional Google Drive backup.

When voice billing is most useful

Voice input can help when the seller already knows the order and wants to avoid moving between a keyboard and the counter. It can also make mobile billing easier when item names are faster to say than to search. Stores with a maintained product catalogue get clearer matches because the system has known product names and prices to work with.

For a new or unusual item, manual entry may still be the clearer route. A camera barcode scan is another option for packaged goods. Retailer360 keeps these input methods in the same billing workflow so the shopkeeper can choose what fits each sale.

Connectivity, privacy and accuracy

Voice billing requires an internet connection. Audio is recorded on the device and sent for transcription; Retailer360 stores the transcript and extracted draft data for the voice session but does not store raw audio on its servers. See the Privacy Policy for the complete data flow.

Background noise, pronunciation and product naming can affect a transcript. Always read the draft and confirm the financial and tax details. Retailer360 is designed to assist the shopkeeper—not to remove the shopkeeper’s control over the bill.

Use voice with the rest of the shop workflow

Once confirmed, a voice-created invoice works like a manually created one. It can update customer history, record the chosen payment mode and connect a credit sale to the digital khaata. The invoice can also include the common fields described in the GST billing guide.
