GST invoicing guide

GST billing app for small shops in India

Create clear GST-ready invoices with the business, customer, item and tax fields your shop needs—then review every detail before sharing the bill.

What a GST billing app should help you record

A useful billing workflow starts with accurate source information. Retailer360 supports common invoice fields including the seller GSTIN, customer details, item descriptions, quantities, prices, HSN or SAC codes and applicable tax rates. Depending on the transaction, the invoice can show CGST and SGST or IGST breakdowns.

The app calculates totals from the information you enter, creates a PDF invoice and keeps the transaction with the customer’s history. You can then share the bill on WhatsApp. Optional Google Drive integration can save invoice PDFs to a Retailer360 folder in your own Drive account.

Important: Retailer360 is a billing tool, not a tax adviser. The merchant remains responsible for choosing the correct GST treatment, checking invoice details and meeting filing obligations.

A practical invoice workflow

  1. Set up your shop profile. Add the legal business name, address and GSTIN that should appear on the invoice.
  2. Create the product catalogue. Record item names, selling prices, units, tax rates and HSN or SAC codes. A clean catalogue reduces repeated typing.
  3. Select or add the customer. Add the customer name, phone number and GST details when the transaction requires them.
  4. Add the sale. Choose items manually, scan a barcode with the phone camera or use AI voice billing to prepare a draft.
  5. Review before issuing. Check quantities, prices, tax rates, place-of-supply implications and totals. An AI-created draft should always be reviewed.
  6. Save and share. Generate the invoice PDF, record the payment mode and share the document with the customer.

Designed for mobile and web

Retailer360 works in a modern browser on phones, tablets and laptops. On supported mobile browsers, the web app can be added to the home screen. The Android app uses the same account when installed from an approved release channel, so your billing data is not split between two systems.

Previously loaded information can be viewed when connectivity is interrupted. Creating voice drafts and saving new invoices requires an internet connection because speech processing and cloud sync run online.

Who this workflow suits

The workflow is intended for Indian retail businesses that want billing, customers, stock-linked products and udhaar tracking in one service. That may include kirana stores, electronics shops, clothing retailers and other small stores. The best fit depends on your invoice volume, inventory structure and accounting requirements.
